How do I know if i need a new roof?

Answer: Evidence of roof leaks ie: spots in ceiling, wet insulation, mold in attic. Missing, cracked, or curling shingles.

Do I need a whole roof or just a repair?

Answer: This would need to be determined based on age and cost of repairs. Some roofs that are older than 15 years may need replaced within the next couple of years. It wouldn't make sense to spend hundreds of dollars on repairs. However, if the roof is less than 10 years old, and only needs minor repairs, then it would be feasible to only perform repairs. Our trained salesmen would be happy to review your options with you to determine the best option for your case.

Why is the price so expensive? --A person came to my door and offered to do the work much cheaper.

Answer: Benchmark Roofing is a quality, reputable company. We have an office, employees, and overhead. We only use the best products. Insurance rates for roofing companies are the highest among any other type of business. We advertise and have been in business for a decade. Often times a person that comes and offers a cheaper price, is not a reputable contractor. Often times they also use cheap materials and the installers aren't trained properly. Also, does this person have insurance (liability and BWC), a "real" warranty, and a quality reputation? Your roof is the most important part of your house, do you really want someone who may be unqualified installing your roof? Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?

Answer: Yes we are! We are licensed in Columbus. We obtain all needed permits prior to completing any work. We are bonded and have a large amount of bonding capability. We also carry Liability insurance with 2 million dollars in coverage, and we carry Workers Compensation insurance.

How long will my project take to complete?

Most roofing projects are completed in one day. Once a contract is signed, the paperwork is submitted into the office. Then the project goes into scheduling. As long as the materials are in stock, we can start the project within a week depending on weather. Siding projects are more time consuming, but most siding projects can be completed within 2 days.

Will new siding reduce my energy bills?

Answer: Absolutely! Replacing old aluminum siding with new vinyl can reduce energy consumption. We can also install Tyvek moisture/vapor barrier house wrap, which will also help against wind penetration. We also offer insulated panel siding.

Do you install any type of "Green" environmentally friendly roof products?

Yes we do. There are several on the market. From Eco-shake for your house, to white TPO on your business. Benchmark Roofing has it covered!
